Operation Share The Ride 2007 Launch

Posted: Nov 27, 2007

Last year we organized cyclists in Operation Share The Ride and gave dozens of bikes away to kids for Christmas. You, as a member of pinkbike and as a member of the cycling community can be proud of doing something amazing for society.

This year we're going global. Join and support Operation Share The Ride.

Check out the website and videos.

We have arranged the best prices, below cost for quality bike products and here is the basic break down when donating.

What can you get a kid?
$5 - Helmet for a kid.
$10 - 2 wheels and rims for a kids bike.
$20 - Bike frame for one kid.
$40 - Full Bike for one kid.
$100 - Large Full Bike and Helmet for bigger kid.

Donate Money Now

Larger donations allow more kids to get a bike this holiday season.

So even a small donation makes a difference to put a smile on a face.

i know this sounds mean but wouldn't they be able to give out more bikes if they used cheaper bikes not norcos.

You have a point, but these are quality bikes that should last for a long time. Please don't lose site of the project here folks and start talking about the type of bikes. The real point is that last year over 100 kids received bikes that they would not have other wise seen. It's about sharing the ride!

Norco is a big supporter of share the ride and in so, with special pricing, they enable us to maximize the amount of bikes we can purchase. This along with the volume that we are able to hit, makes this program a most effective way to giving back to society.

Where did you guys find out they are Norco bikes? If so, I hope they are being bought for COST with the donation money and not full retail.

We make sure that we get the best bang out of the buck. They price they are purchased for is much much better than retail which enables us to get more bikes to kids.
