Seasons is a film that follows seven of the world’s top mountain bikers through the course of four seasons of one year. The film explores what it means to be a full time rider as told through the lives of downhill racers, slopestyle competitors, and big mountain freeriders.

The main riders in the film are: Darren Berrecloth, Matt Hunter, Cam McCaul, Steve Peat, Andrew Shandro, Steve Smith, and Thomas Vanderham. There will also be some guest appearances by others who cross paths with the main seven riders. The Collective has been working on Seasons non-stop for the last twelve months, and is now in post production on the film, cutting together footage from multiple shoots with every rider, ranging from slopestyle competitions to World Cup downhill races, to epic backcountry freeride shoots. “The film has been a ton of work for everyone involved,” says Jamie Houssian of The Collective, “so it’s nice to finally see it come together in the studio. It’s a new type of film for the action sports genre. We’re stoked to show people something a little different”.
Seasons is sponsored by Specialized, Shimano, Adidas Eyewear, Whistler Mountain Bike Park, Bontrager, Dakine, Helly Hansen, and Pinkbike.com. The film’s theatrical World Tour starts in April 2008 and the DVD will be available in May 2008 in bike shops worldwide and from www.thecollectivefilm.com

I haven't seen anything about if seasons was shot on 16mm or not. I'm assuming the collective are sticking with tradition?

Good quality film, the best riders, incredible drops, tricks, and the Pasion ...the most important thing...jeah
sites awsome..cool thing where you get to change seasons..mccaul and bearclaw are stepin it up for sure (i see claws trying huge flips into water on his section in pics)
i cant wait to see this new film from the collective. They do an awsome job every time. My two favorite films are "The Collective" and "Roam"
maybe he ment, his favorite 2 movies EVER are roam and collective, inlcuding the whole NWD and KRANKED series,or maybe not and hes just a numbnuts....
The Collective series are the greatest movies to hit Mtb.Can't wait to see it has all off my favorite riders in it.Awesome Trailer love it

I'm so excited for this movie. Roam created a new standard for films and even though it was shot a while ago (3 years ago I think) its still one of the best mtb films ever. Ever since it came out I've been waiting for this movie. I'm also really happy to see that steve smith has a part, its good to see a world-class Canadian downhiller.
Looks amazing its seems to have taken a slightly different step from roam not as 'fartsy' not that roam wans't good was amazing! but this looks like could be best film so far!
Looks great, Romaniuk is loosin his greatness, he's kinda last year I think the Rider line up looks sick

I can't wait. It seems the cable cam stuff will be even better than Roam, and hopefully a bit more of a story line too. Stokage!
Can't wait! The Collective and Roam are easily my favorite biking flics'.
Some of those shots look like they're shot with HD cameras, I wonder if there's any chance of an HD version?

I'm guessing there is no Romaniuk because of his switch in sponsorship, he does not ride for specialized anymore which is a sponsor of the film, most all those riders featured ride for at least one brand that sponsors the film im sure, and I dont think MONGOOSE has anything to do with the collective, I could be entirley wrong but in my opinion i think that is the reason we are not seeing him.
Yes, they shot with 16mm and HDV, If you look closely, you see there are 16mm film clips in the trailer
yeah man like what happened to Romaniuk did he just fall off the face of the earth or what like that guy has potential but he just doesent seem to use it to his advantage.
agreed. haha vanderham "ive never ever run out of gears into a jump". uve got to be kidding me. i cant believe we have to wait until may to get the dvd. I WANT IT NOW!!!!
Try downloading the "iPod Download", it's been changed to a .zip file that should start dowloading when you click it.

It's really cool that Steve Smith was thrown into the mix for this movie. He is arguably the most naturally talented canadian downhiller out there right now. He is the best bet for a podium this year and he pins it, just look at his Australian National Results.
That Movie is going to fly. Love the trailer! It has a difficult task to compete against their other two films though... I'm glad they seem to keep some nice stuff for the movie that they don't show in the trailer, and also that they DON'T have 27 Riders in the movie but just 7! And I am *very* happy about their choice... 'cause if you talk about wade not being in it and the old riders stepping out, you also have to recognize that Shandro is in it and he certainly is one of the "old guys"!
BTW; Hunter mentioned 8 Guys in an Interview last year, so probably it was Romaniuk who got kicked off the list... for wehatever reason.

looks great but its a shame that romo fell o ut of the scene. he was super flowy and smooth but then got droped by specialized and just fell out of the scene. we havn't heard to much about him lately
those kind of movies are always the same
super nice filming/aditing, but the riding is always exactly the same.
