I like racing desert. Me and a buddy raced the baja 1000 last year. Leaving in 5 days to mexico for this year's baja 1000. It's always fun, but it is like russian roulette since you're at such speed most of the time, and when you hit a buried rock in the woops, which you always do, it's a toss up with being able to recover, exploding the wheel, and/or eating it hard.
None the less, it's the risks you take in the name of fun. Friends
